Spiced Hot Chocolate

What is better than having an unexpected day off due to expected snow? Well, making delicious spiced hot chocolate! I used a bit of spanish chocolate for my creation. Easy, simple, comforting, and beyond delicious! (Whether you add a splash of your favorite liquor, or not, is entirely up to you)

Spiced Hot Cocoa

Yield: 1 generous serving


  • 1 1/2 cups Milk
  • 1/4 cup good quality chocolate, chopped (I used a spanish chocolate)
  • 1 Tablespoon Ovaltine powder
  • Few dashes of cinnamon
  • Tiniest sprinkle of salt


  1. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, gently heat the milk and chocolate pieces over medium-low heat. Whisk this mixture until hot but not boiling. Add in the ovaltine and cinnamon, mixing to combine. Pour and enjoy!
